Action Center

myAAP’s atomic functionality is designed to make creating your AAPs faster and easier than ever.  From the action center, you can upload all of the necessary data and let myAAP create your reports for you.  Any required work or notifications will be displayed here, and you will be able to download your plans from here when the process is complete.

Getting Started

The action center can be accessed from any stage in myAAP by clicking the   icon from the tools menu.

To fully utilize myAAP’s atomic functionality, it is recommended that you create import files for all requested/required information.  For more information on creating import files, see Import Files.

IMPORTANT: The atomic process works best when all required data fields are present, the column headers are labeled properly, and data is provided in standard acceptable values.  All files must be saved as Text Tab Delimited files.

  • Employees File: The employee file should contain all active employees on payroll as of the snapshot date.
  • Applicants File: The applicant file should contain all applicants associated with all hires during the transaction period.
  • Hires File: The hires file should contain all new hires and rehires made within the transaction period.
  • Promotions File: The promotions file should include all promotions made within the transaction period (the OFCCP defines a promotion as an increase in responsibility, wage rate, and change in job title).
  • Terminations File: The terminations file should include all terminations (voluntary and involuntary) made within the transaction period.
  • Jobs File: The jobs file should be a master list of all job titles within the organization.
  • Labor Areas File: The labor areas file should define labor areas for job groups in all plans.
  • Feeders File: The feeders file should define feeders for job groups in all plans.
  • Final Availability File: The final availability file should define how often your organization recruits from each availability factor (local, reasonable, internal) for all job groups in each plan.

Using Atomic Functionality

Once you have prepared your data, you are ready to begin the atomic process by creating a data container.  This can be done by simply going to the action center.

myAAP is equipped with hints and notifications to help you through the atomic process.

Hints - Hints can be found by clicking on the blue question mark (  ) next to each field.  These are designed to help you quickly identify and understand what needs to be done for each field.

Notifications - Notifications will appear in the action center alerting you of any useful information or required user actions.  Notifications are color-coded to portray urgency:

  • A blue icon (  ) signifies that information is being provided.  Action is not necessarily required.
  • A yellow icon (  ) signifies a non-critical issue.  You may choose to fix the issue, but the process can continue to run and create your plans as-is.
  • A red icon (  ) signifies a critical issue that must be fixed before the process can continue.  This can be an error with the imported data or, if you have chosen to complete a step (i.e., labor areas) manually, this will prompt you to do so before continuing.
  • A green icon (  ) signifies that your plans have been created successfully and are ready for download.
