Where to Begin

The following steps will make creating your affirmative action plan as fast and easy as possible.

Step 1: Prepare your data - myAAP’s atomic functionality allows you to import files containing all of the information required to create your AAP(s).  Start by gathering employee and transaction data from your applicant tracking system.  It is also recommended that you create import files for jobs, labor areas, feeders, and final availability.  Information on all of these files can be found in the Import File Layouts section.  Alternately, the employee, transaction, and job files can be used to create your AAP(s) manually through myAAP’s step-by-step process.

IMPORTANT: Data imports best when all required data fields are present, the column headers are labeled properly, and data is provided in standard acceptable values.  All of this information can be found in the Import File Layouts section.

Step 2: Create a new data container - A data container must be created for each plan year.  You may do this from the Action Center, or manually create one.

Step 3: Complete the myAAP process - Once your data container has been created, you can go to the Action Center and run the atomic process to automatically create your plans, or you can complete the step-by-step process manually in each stage.
