Map Data

This stage is used to map information in the imported files to the matching codes/values used within myAAP.  Data that matches myAAP’s values will automatically be mapped and saved for you.  Automatically mapped values can be changed manually if desired.

Values that need to be mapped (if they are included in the data) are: Gender, Race, Termination Code, Full-Part Time Status, Wage Type, EEO Category, Exemption Status, Applicant Type, Promotion Type, Disability, Protected Veteran, and Veteran Status.

NOTE: myAAP will automatically map values that match the standard acceptable values for each category.  For a list of acceptable values for each category (per file), see Import Files and select the desired file.

Mapping Data

Values will be listed in two columns per category: Unmapped Values and Mapped Values.  To map any unmapped values, drag the desired value from the Unmapped Values column to the appropriate value in the Mapped Values column.  That value will now be listed under the appropriate value.  You may also use the right and left arrows to map and unmap values.

NOTE: The applicant file may contain unknown gender and/or race information.  These values may appear in the map data screen as unmapped valued, but you do not need to map them.
