Create / Edit / Delete a Data Container

Data Containers are created for each plan year within an organization (such as 2014, 2015, etc.).  All data for a given plan year (employee, applicant, hires, etc.) is imported to a single data container for that plan year, regardless of the number of plans to be created from the data.

The File menu on the toolbar at the top of the screen also has options for Create Data Container, Edit Data Container, and Delete Data Container.

Create Data Container

Selecting Create Data Container will display the screen where you can enter options for a new data container.

Plan Year - The year during which the AAP is effective.

Name - The name for this data container.  This can be whatever you like, and will not appear in the reports.

Employee Snapshot - The date on which the employee data was pulled.  This will provide a ”snapshot” of current employees on that specific date.

Transaction Begin/End - The 12-month period prior to the snapshot date.  Applicants, hires, promotions, and terminations that occurred during this period are analyzed in the Personnel Transaction Report, and can also be included in several optional reports.

Plan From/To - The 12-month period following the snapshot date.  This is the period during which the Affirmative Action Plan is effective.

Once all fields are complete, click the Save button on the toolbar to save the entries.

Edit Data Container

Selecting Edit Data Container will display the same screen for creating a data container.  You may edit any of the information that was entered when the container was created, and click the Save button on the toolbar when you are done.

Delete Data Container

To totally remove a data container and all the data in it, select the desired data container in the navigation tree, then select Delete Data Container from the File Menu in the toolbar.  The selected data container will be removed completely.

NOTE: Deleting a data container will delete all plan containers and plans within the data container, as well.
