Impact Evaluator

The Impact Evaluator is a tool designed to instantly calculate and evaluate personnel decisions.

There is a tab for each of the available comparison types: Availability Analysis, Selection Rate Analysis, or Retention Analysis. To learn more about the different analysis types and the results, click here to view BCGi's encyclopedia article on the topic.

Each analysis tab is comprised of two parts: Data Entry at the top of the screen and Results at the bottom.

Data Entry:

There are entry fields for Gender and Race. Use the corresponding checkboxes to specify whether you want to analyze Gender, Race, or both. Both checkboxes are selected by default.

Once you have entered the necessary data, click "Calculate" to view your results. If the "Calculate" button is greyed out, hover over it to view a tooltip explaining what needs to be done before you can run the analysis.

Availability Analysis:

Manually enter data to compare those who completed a process (i.e., hires) to the pool of those available for the job.

Selection Rate Analysis:

Manually enter data to compare those who completed a process (i.e., hires) to those who began the process (i.e., applicants).

Note: By default, Reference Group is set to Auto. This will compare the retention rate of each group to “the retention rate of the group with the highest rate” so long as the group with the highest rate accounts for at least 2.0% of the total pool. Alternately, you may choose to run the analysis using Male and White as the reference group.

Retention Analysis:

Manually enter data to compare those to were retained to those who were available for termination.

Results:

Once you have entered the necessary data and clicked "Calculate" the bottom portion of the screen will display the calculator results in a table. The results table will automatically update as the data entry is changed.

To download your results, click "Export Report" and choose your desired file type (PDF or Excel).
